DESCRIPTION:Once a year Cornerstone Baptist Church in South Dallas hosts a Labor Day of Praise where bands come together and bless the local homeless community with a family picnic type experience. We’ve been asked to cook and serve a Cajun lunch and snowcones + cotton candy! Dress code is picnic / get messy casual. We’ll be doing a plated to the table service\, where we serve a yummy plate of Red Beans and Rice\, Sweet Cornbread and Cajun Corn on the Cob followed by banana puddin’. SUMMARY:USQRA Low Pointers Wheelchair Rugby Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Indoor sporting event held at a public recreation center in Irving. We utilize one basketball for rugby games that start at 10 AM. We are hosting 6 teams from around the country. Athletes classify highly disabled typically affecting all four limbs. We provide lunch to the athletes\, their team staff\, league officials\, volunteers and RISE staff.  The tournament runs Friday – Sunday.  We’ve been asked to cook and serve lunch on 13SEP and 14SEP. We’re looking for help cooking and prepping these meals on 12SEP\, 13SEP and 14SEP mornings. \nJoin Us
